WTF Postcard | 5″ x 7″ Oil
This wee postcard painting was a compilation of photographs of two young refugee girls, painted in 2014 at the height of the conflict in Syria. One photo was a young girl from Syria, which I seem to have misplaced. The other photo was of a 6 year old girl from the minority Yazidi sect. Her family were fleeing the violence in the Iraqi town of Sinjar, and were resting at the Iraqi-Syrian border crossing in Fishkhabour, Dohuk province.
