figurative artist Kathryn Kaiser
This portfolio of selected life drawing and sketches from life is mainly executed in short bursts of time, live in studio

The immediacy of working in graphite, charcoal and pastel is an invigorating and liberating experience. Drawing from life requires an intense mix of detachment and cognizance, yet the medium itself can be both unforgiving and fleeting

The life drawing studio is where I am most likely to lose myself.

I have been working on a blog post called the Basics of Life Drawing, for any who would like a primer. There are links to some of the artists I find most inspirational here as well.
