Life Drawing at OMAH
Beginning in February 2024
Kathryn will be facilitating continuous sessions of life drawing at OMAH (Orillia Museum of Art & History) beginning this spring. Life drawing begins in February, and will run in 6 week increments until winter of 2024
If there are enough registrants, we would love to offer two classes on Thursdays. One class would run in the afternoon from 1pm-4pm, the other in the evening from 6pm-9pm. If you are interested in either one of these classes, please do register as soon as possible. We won’t be able to run both without enough bodies.
From OMAH’s website:
Life Drawing at OMAH 2024
“Join your instructor, artist Kathryn Kaiser, for OMAH’s 6-week life drawing class exploring the human form. Using nude and costumed models, participants will learn gesture drawing, anatomy, proportions and mass while trying different mediums such as charcoal, paint, ink and mixed media. Lessons also include using your non-dominant hand to draw, two-handed drawing techniques and blind contour drawings. Basic supplies are included, and participants are welcome to bring their favourite materials to work with.
Basic drawing materials (and easels) provided.”
Please see the OMAH website to register, and for more information.
If the website has not been updated, please call the museum at (705) 326-2159 and speak to them in person.
